The Fall of Panexos
Hexagonal tiles are used to represent territory on a distant planet. You may set up the board thematically or randomly, depending on your preference. No map pieces are placed at this time – they will be constructed later at the players’ convenience. Tiles have different advantages and disadvantages, and most give you a certain amount of supply which you can spend later to move armies or construct map pieces. After the tiles are set, each player recieves one army to place in a location of their choice. Where these armies start is of vital importance as it determines their strategic path to victory. After the armies are placed, note which tile each army started in. This will be that player’s command tile. The command tile serves as a base of operations. Defeated armies may occasionally retreat there and new armies will occasionally be mustered there.
